Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries could make his second start of the season for the Nerazzurri in this evening’s Serie A clash wtith Atalanta at the San Siro.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who list the Dutchman in their probable lineup for the fixture.

Dumfries made his first start for Inter last weekend in the match against Bologna at the San Siro, while he also came on during the second half of Tuesday’s match against Fiorentina.

The 25-year-old did not immediately break into the plans of Simone Inzaghi for the first few matches of the season having arrived from PSV needing to get up to speed physically and tactically.

However, he looks to be all ready now and he is ready to regularly compete with Matteo Darmian for the starting spot on the right, with the Atalanta match another opportunity for him to tighten his grip on the regular spot.

The Gazzetta list the likely lineup as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
