Ex-Inter Striker Nicola Ventola On Joaquin Correa’s Debut: “Starting The Adventure At Inter Is Priceless”

A former Inter striker has explained the feelings and emotions that Joaquin Correa must have been feeling when he came on to make his Inter debut against Hellas Verona earlier in the season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Whilst being interviewed for the matchday programme against Atalanta on Saturday, as reported by FcINternews, Nicola Ventola explained that seeing Joaquin Correa come on for his Inter debut against Hellas Verona immediately made him reminisce about his own.

“When I saw Correa enter with Hellas and score two goals, I couldn’t help but think about my Serie A debut with Inter.”

There was a major similarity between the Inter debuts of Joaquin Correa and Nicola Ventola because both of the forwards came off the bench when their team was struggling and scored two goals.

“Down 2-0 in Cagliari, Pirlo and I enter in place of Djorkaeff and Baggio. I score two goals, one beautiful. Unforgettable, starting the adventure at Inter is priceless.”

Joaquin Correa was introduced away at Hellas Verona when Inter were drawing 1-1. He was given 15 minutes to try and give Inter their second win in a row.

He scored a header in the 83rd minute to put Inter ahead and then wrapped up the points with a low finish in stoppage time.
