Inter are among a number of top Italian clubs interested in signing Sampdoria forward Mikkel Damsagaard in the future.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri consider the Dane a serious target, but that they would face competition for his signature from the likes of AC Milan and Juventus as well as Tottenham.

Damsgaard was the subject of the interest of a number of clubs during the summer, especially on the back of his impressive form with the Danish national side at the Euros.

Sampdoria would have been open to selling Damsgaard for the right offer, but an offer of at least €30 million never came in for him so he remained in Genoa.

Inter are still interested in him, however, and could renew their pursuit of him alongside major rivals at the top end of the Serie A table in the coming transfer windows.
