Inter Relying On Edin Dzeko Against Atalanta To Conclude A Great Week, Italian Media Highlight

Inter will be hoping that Edin Dzeko can continue to show his best form this evening as they look to overcome a strong Atalanta side in an important Serie A clash.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Correire dello Sport, who report that the Bosnian is on one goal every 99 minutes in Serie A after five games, and that he will need to prove himself once again if the Nerazzurri are to get the better of historically unfavourable opponents.

Atalanta have been among the strongest teams in Serie A since the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini on the bench, and will present a test of the Nerazzurri’s Scudetto ambitions as well as of Dzeko.

The Corriere points out that in the twelve meetings between Roma and Atalanta whilst Dzeko was playing for the Giallorossi, the Bosnian scored in half of the meetings but was only on the winning end once, with five draws and six defeats constituting an unfortunate record.

Dzeko has scored three goals in his last two games, and Inter will hope that he can not only score against La Dea this evening, but also lead his team to an important victory.
