Inter will face a tough task in trying to get the better of Atalanta this evening at the San Siro, with La Dea a formidable outfit all over the pitch and as a unit, but there will also be individual battles which will be key in determining the outcome of the Serie A clash.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who highlight three matchups which will play a major role in setting the tone for the match.

In goal, La Dea will start summer arrival Juan Musso, who earned the move following his form at Udinese and was also considered as a target by Inter, while the Nerazzurri will look to captain Samir Handanovic between the sticks, and the duel between the two goalkeepers could decide a tight encounter.

On Inter’s right wing, Denzel Dumfries could make his second start of the season, and he will come up against one of Atalanta’s key players in the form of Robin Gosens, and the two pacy EURO 2020 stars could face a clash for supremacy in wide areas.

And in midfield, Remo Freuler is likely to act as Gian Piero Gasperini’s lieutenant on the pitch and make every attempt to set a favourable tempo, while the Nerazzurri will likely see Marcelo Brozovic look to continue his run of form as their regista, given the freedom to control the game by Simone Inzaghi while Freuler will look to stop him.
