Legendary former Inter striker Alessandro Altobelli believes that this Inter team have a fear factor for opponents given the quality of their squad and the football that they play.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Rai Radio, as reported by FCInterNews, the 65-year-old gave his appraisal of the strength of the Nerazzurri team right now, and suggested that opponents are intimidated when facing them.

Inter remain unbeaten in Serie A this season, and despite wobbles and vulnerabilities on show in some of their matches they have also shown great attacking quality and a sense of fluidity and technical ability when going forward.

This can partly be put down to the approach instilled in the team by manager Simone Inzaghi, but it is also a function of the quality of players in the squad, both in terms of summer arrivals and the players remaining from last season’s Scudetto-winning team.

Altobelli believes this to be the case, stating that “Inter are having a good season. They have a competitive squad. They are a team who scare opponents.”
