Fiorentina Sporting Director Daniele Prade believes that Inter are a team with great technical and athletic qualities, and that this is why his team were unable to overcome the Nerazzurri last week.

Speaking to La Viola’s official social media channel after yesterday’s 1-0 win against Udinese, as reported by FCInterNews, the director praised his side’s performance during the clash with Inter and suggested that the Nerazzurrin had simply been too strong on the night.

Inter were put to the test on their trip to the Stadio Artemio Franchi, going in at the interval a deservedly a goal behind after a frenetic opening performance by Vincenzo Italiano’s men.

However, in the second half La Viola’s intensity dropped off somewhat and the Nerazzurri by contrast grew into the game, finding their rhythm and gaining control of proceedings.

In the end, a three-goal performance took all three points for Simone Inzaghi’s team, and Prade believes that this is a mark of the Nerazzurri’s qualities rather than any weakness in Fiorentina.

“I want to talk again about Tuesday,” he said, “when I congratulated the team for the first half against Inter, for the intensity we showed we looked like a Premier League team.”

He went on that “it was painful – we played against a team that was physically and technically strong.”
