Inter forwards Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa have been called up to the Argentine national team by head coach Lionel Scaloni for the fixtures to take place during the October international break.

This is confirmed by the Argentine FA, who have released the complete squad list for the World Cup qualifiers to take place in October, which contains the two Nerazzurri men.

During the previous international break, the Nerazzurri had players arriving back from international duty with South American teams at the last moment, and this looks to be the case once again with the Albiceleste’s last of three World Cup qualifying fixtures scheduled for little over 24 hours before the Nerazzurri’s first match back from the break.

Argentina are set to face the likes of Uruguay, Paraguay, and Peru during the break, with the last of these matches taking place on the evening of October 14, which would be early in the morning of the 15th in Italy, while the Nerazzurri’s return to Serie A action against Lazio on the evening of the 16th.
