Inter-linked Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno could be on the move from his current club as early as January.

Speaking to German tabloid Bild, the 29-year-old explained that he currently has no plans to leave the Gunners, but that if he feels that a move away would be the right step in his career then he would consider it.

Leno has started only a few games for Mikel Arteta’s team this season, as summer Aaron Ramsdale has been used in a number of games.

Should the German fall behind Ramsdale in the pecking order, then he could be amenable to a transfer away from the London-based clubs, and the Nerazzurri have been linked as a possible destination.

It remains to be seen if Inter would be interested in the German, but should he not feel happy with his situation in London then he could become a viable target for them.

Leno stated, “London is very beautiful, Milan is also not bad and is closer to my hometown, Stuttgart. But I don’t know anything yet, I’m fine at Arsenal and London. Only if my situation doesn’t change in winter, will I think about what options I have and how to move forward.”

“But I focus on the working in training,” he went on, “I can’t affect anything else. I honestly didn’t ask myself about Aaron Ramsdale’s signing, even though it cost nearly €30 million. I am in contact with Andreas Kronenberg, the goalkeeping coach of the German national team. He thinks like me – I don’t have to panic yet.”
