Milan Skriniar was Inter’s standout performer in yesterday’s Champions League group stage draw against Shakhtar Donetsk according to Italian media.

This from the player ratings for the match in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who rate the Slovenian’s performance as by far the best among his teammates, awarding him a 7.5/10 score for his display.

A number of Inter players received mediocre 5/10 grades for their displays in the draw, with Edin Dzeko, Federico Dimarco, Matias Vecino, and Denzel Dumfries all being rated as such, while the likes of Alessandro Bastoni and Lautaro Martinez were given scores of 5.5/10.

Samir Handanovic, Hakan Calhanoglu, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefan de Vrij, and Joaquin Correa earned 6/10, while Nicolo Barella’s 6.5/10 was the closest grade in the team to the 7.5/10 for Skriniar on an evening where his defensive display was far and away the most impressive aspect of the Nerazzurri’s overall somewhat middling performance.
