Inter have decided to pursue Andre Onana next summer rather than pay a fee to Arsenal for Bernd Leno, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the Cameroonian goalkeeper is still the chosen heir to Samir Handanovic at Inter, rather than the German playing in the Premier League.

Bernd Leno was heavily linked to Inter in the past when he was a Bayer Leverkusen player but he moved to Premier League side Arsenal instead.

After falling behind Aaron Ramsdale in the pecking order at the North London club, Bernd Leno is believed to be open to joining the Nerazzurri.

The club would much rather sign Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana on a free transfer than pay a fee and higher wages to Arsenal for Bernd Leno, who despite some excellent performances, has also shown himself to be error-prone at times for Arsenal.
