Inter have announced the full damage that the coronavirus pandemic has had on the club over the past year, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been announced by the club, and reported by FcINternews, the club registered a loss of €245.6 million before June 2021, which is an extremely alarming statistic.

It sheds some serious light on the reasons behind the swinging cuts that Suning made to the club over the summer and those cuts are partly why the situation is not as bad as is initially feared.

The money raised by selling Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku and signing much cheaper replacements means that some of the deficit has been addressed.

The re-opening of stadiums will also make a massive difference to the finances of Inter and that will increase when they become 100% open.

The club are also now taking in more than they ever have from sponsorship deals.
