The representatives of Marcelo Brozovic are expected to hold direct discussions with Inter in October to extend the Croatian midfielder’s contract, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FCInter1908, the two parties are finally ready to sit around the table and finalise the details of the new contract such as his salary and the length of the deal.

It is believed that the Croatian has every intention of staying at the club despite being in a situation where he could probably move for free to a team who will pay him a much higher wage than Inter can offer.

He wants to be paid at least €5 million a season at Inter next year because that is the wage that Hakan Calhanoglu is on and he only just joined the club.

Marcelo Brozovic feels he deserves to be a high earner due to his importance to the team.
