There is still a chance that Inter will have to sell at least one key player next summer despite seemingly being financially stable again, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera today, if the Suning family do not directly inject some more capital into the club, the balance sheets may still call for a major sale of a key asset in the summer of 2022.

This is the last thing that fans want to happen as the point of selling Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku in the summer was that they would not need to make similar sales next season.

The fact that fans are now back inside stadiums will help Inter work out of their debt, but a major help would be if the team manages to qualify for the later stages of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 10 years.
