Inter are planning to sit down with Marcelo Brozovic’s representatives straight after the next international break to discuss a new contract, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the meeting has been pencilled in now for some time but will finally happen after the set of international fixtures that will begin next week.

Marcelo Brozovic will be focusing on his performances for the Croatian national team but the contract discussions will no doubt be in the back of his mind.

Due to the interest in the player from wealthy foreign clubs such as Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, Inter are concerned that the player may raise his demands.

Inter would like to pay him less than €6 million a season but he may now be inclined to ask for that figure.

Inter risk losing him for free in the summer if he does not sign a new deal now.
