There is still a very real chance that Marcelo Brozovic will leave Inter next summer on a free transfer as interest from abroad begins to gather, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Croatian midfielder is now thinking of asking for at least €6 million as his salary at Inter from 2022 onwards, which could be a prohibitive figure for the Nerazzurri to commit to.

If a deal cannot be done with Inter, there is a number of European clubs who are looking to put pressure on the club.

Paris Saint Germain have attempted in the past to engineer a swap deal for Marcelo Brozovic with Leandro Paredes, and the French side may try to sign him once again on a free transfer.

Manchester United have also expressed a clear interest in the past and they are still in the market for a defensive-minded midfielder, and so are Tottenham Hotspur.
