Spanish giants Real Madrid are closely monitoring Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni as they look to bolster their defensive options for next season, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInter1908, the La Liga side were keeping a particularly close eye on the Italian defender when the two sides met in the Champions League on matchday one.

That game ended 1-0 to Real Madrid with a late goal from Rodrygo after Inter had dominated for much of the match and missed countless great opportunities.

It is clear that they will want to take another look at Alessandro Bastoni when Inter travels to the Bernabeu in  Madrid for the reverse fixture, a game that could be vital to Inter’s hopes of progressing.

Alessandro Bastoni signed a deal recently with Inter that will run until 2024 so they are calm about the situation.

It would take a huge bid for Inter to let him leave.
