Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been called up to the Turkish national team for their two FIFA World Cup Qualifiers during the international break.

This is announced by the Turkish FA on their official site, where they list the complete 25-man squad selected by newly-appointed head coach Stefan Kuntz for the two fixtures as the team look to qualify for their first World Cup finals in two decades by earning a spot at the tournament in Qatar next summer.

Calhanoglu has become an important player for the Turkish national side, and has retained his place in the squad even with the appointment of a new coach.

The 27-year-old, who arrived at Inter from city rivals AC Milan on a free transfer over the summer, will be in the squad as the Turkish national team face the likes of Norway and Latvia as their qualification campaign moves forward headed into Qatar in 2022.
