Inter are planning to make two signings in January as they look to bolster the squad available to manager Simone Inzaghi.

This according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin, who stated to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it that the Nerazzurri’s directors have confirmed to him that the club intend to make additions in the next transfer window.

Inter made several signings over the summer to make up for the sales of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku who departed for Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea respectively.

However, more players could evidently be on the way, with Biasin suggesting that the club are planning to further reinforce the team for the second half of the season.

The squad as it stands has no lack of options available to coach Inzaghi, but the former Lazio boss could expect even more players as he looks to guide the Nerazzurri through the latter stages of a long season competing on multiple fronts.

“I was told that Inter will try to lend a hand to Inzaghi to strengthen the squad,” Biasin stated, “it means looking at  the market and figuring out who can come in and help the team.”

He went on, “As I understand it, Inter will make a couple of functional additions to the team. The answer from the Inter world is that there are no names yet, but they want to give Inzaghi a hand.

“I only know that the market is being monitored and something will be done.”
