Young Pisa striker Lorenzo Lucca is focused on working with his current club, but the Serie B side’s head coach Luca D’Angelo wants to stress the importance of avoiding distraction as his form attracts the transfer interest of Inter and other clubs.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, the coach gave the view that the most important thing for Lucca is to keep his attention on the task at hand and not be preoccupied with the interest of big clubs.

Pisa currently lead the Serie A table, with the goalscoring form of Lucca one of the primary drivers of their strong start to the season.

The 21-year-old jointly leads the scoring charts for the division, with his five goals from six matches a strong return for the young striker who is quickly repaying the faith shown in him by the club when they signed him from Palermo.

Lucca’s form has attracted the interest of Inter and other top Italian clubs, but his coach believes that he must keep his entire attention on the current campaign with Pisa.

“In the team it can be hard to keep concentration because the spotlight is almost all on Lucca,” D’Angelo said. “There is the risk of distractions because he is still a boy, but he seems very balanced and he knows that difficulties can be found in every match.”

He went on, “I believe that both the club and his teammates are able to keep him in the right mindset, also helped by his entourage and his family.”
