Inter striker Edin Dzeko has looked back to his absolute best since his summer move from Roma, with his goal and performance in the Nerazzurri’s comeback win against Sassuolo yet more evidence that he has found top form.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who praise the Bosnian for his display and describe him as being like “a player reborn” so far this season for the Nerazzurri.

Dzeko came off the bench to score the Nerazzurri’s equalizer and win the decisive penalty which saw his team take all three points from a match in which they did not start at their best.

The 35-year-old was rewarded for his display with a place in the record books as the first player to score six goals in their first seven matches in an Inter shirt since Ronaldo, while his goal also took him level with Ciro Immobile at the top of the Capocannoniere standings.

The Bosnian may have appeared to be past the peak of his powers to some during his last season with Roma, but so far his performances for Inter look very much like those of the striker who finished top scorer in Serie A for the Giallorossi during the 2016-17 season.
