Inter did not start at their best in their 2-1 win over Sassuolo yesterday, but their performance showed that they can find ways of winning tough matches.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who argue that the Nerazzurri’s character was on full display in the second half turnaround, as was the quality of the options they have on the bench.

Inter’s performance in the first half at the Mapei Stadium did not reflect their status as Scudetto holders and among the favourites to retain their crown, with the initial team sent out getting outplayed by Alessio Dionisi’s Neroverdi side.

However, as the match wore on Inter coach Simone Inzaghi was able to call on quality options from the bench to come on and change the game when it was apparent that his original plans and selections for the match were not working.

The new additions to the pitch added different qualities to the team, and the Nerazzurri’s determination to win saw them through as they overhauled the deficit and produced yet another comeback win to keep their season on track.
