Inter striker Edin Dzeko has scored six goals in his first seven Serie A matches since joining the Nerazzurri from Roma over the summer, an impact that only the most optimistic fans would have expected from the Bosnian.
With his striker to equalize against the Neroverdi, the 35-year-old managed a feat that hadn’t been achieved by any striker in an Inter shirt since Ronaldo during the beginning of his 1997-98 season with the Nerazzurri, putting Dzeko in excellent company.
Football statistics account Opta highlighted this fact in a tweet which reads, “6 – Edin Dzeko is the first player, in his first campaign for the Nerazzurri, to have scored at least six goals in Inter’s first seven Serie A seasonal games played since Ronaldo in 1997/98. Entrance.”
