Inter could allow forward Alexis Sanchez to depart from the club in January after a social media post indicating that he is unhappy with his lack of playing time at the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Chilean will not be fined by the club after a post on his Instagram story indicating that he is unhappy with his situation, but that they would not stand in the way of him leaving in the January transfer window.

Sanchez made the post on his Instagram story after the Nerazzurri’s match against Sassuolo over the weekend, in which he was an unused substitute.

The post contained an image of a car in a state of neglect alongside the caption, “If you are in the wrong place, you will not shine,” appearing to hit out at the club for his lack of minutes.

While he has not been fined for the outburst, Sanchez will deal with the matter with the club when he returns from international duty with the Chilean national team over the break.

A January exit can be excluded, with the club willing to let go of the player’s net €7 million wages, weighing €10.5 million on their budget under the growth decree, and the player potentially in search of more first team action now that he has returned from a calf injury which had sidelined him during the summer and early in the season.
