Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has gotten a sense of who his most important squad members as he has watched his team grow in the early part of his first season in charge of the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper who highlight Edin Dzeko, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, and Lautaro Martinez as having emerged as four players whose contributions the coach has come to rely on as “certainties.”

Dzeko’s strike rate of six goals from his first seven games for Inter has meant that the Bosnian has been vital to Inzaghi’s plans in front of goals, as he has not missed a beat stepping in to replace Romelu Lukaku following his summer move from Roma.

Meanwhile, Nicolo Barella has kicked on from two impressive campaigns under Antonio Conte and from winning the Euros with Italy, and the Gazzetta highlight his importance to the team as someone who brings consistent performances in midfield and never drops his head even when the team face difficulties.

In Brozovic, Inzaghi has a player who is virtually irreplaceable in his squad, performing a vital role in organizing the team’s passing game from the base of midfield.

Lastly, Martinez looks to be enjoying his new partnership with Dzeko, and the Gazzetta suggest that after managing about a goal every other game alongside the Bosnian, he can score even more than he did when playing with Romelu Lukaku last season.
