Bosnia & Herzgovina national team head coach Ivaylo Petev is happy that Inter striker Edin Dzeko is in such good form with his club this season.

Speaking in a press conference as reported by FCInterNews, the Bulgarian tactician gave the view that it is a big boost to his team to have the 35-year-old coming off such a positive start to the season with the Nerazzurri.

Dzeko is a hugely important player for the Bosnian team, being the captain and the record appearance-maker and goal-scorer, and he continues to be a talismanic figure for the national team.

The Bosnian has also enjoyed good club form for much of his career which has been the basis for his importance, with successful stints at Wolfsburg, Manchester City, and Roma.

Dzeko joined Inter this summer, and the move has been a hugely successful one, with six goals from his first seven matches in a Nerazzurri shirt setting the pace in Serie A and suggesting that he still has much to give both the club and international game.

Of the good start to the season by Dzeko and KAS Eupen forward Smail Prevljak, Petev said that “The fact that they are playing well is certainly positive for me. I think most of our players are doing well. I;ve followed them closely and we have an accurate picture of the situation.”
