Former Inter striker Nicola Ventola believes that the Nerazzurri’s recent comeback wins in Serie A have shown the quality that they have in the team.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, the 43-year-old gave the view that the Nerazzurri have demonstrated that they are capable of coping in adverse situations and finding solutions even against strong opponents.

Inter have had to overhaul a first-half deficit in four of their matches so far in Serie A, against the likes of Hellas Verona, Fiorentina, Atalanta, and Sassuolo, winning three of them and drawing against La Dea.

The three wins came in away matches where the Nerazzurri had looked to struggle at times, but in the end they found the right approach to go on and win.

Ventola believes that this ability to respond to tough circumstances means that the Nerazzurri are the favourites to win the Scudetto once again.

“Inter have had problems against Sassuolo,” he said. “With Inzaghi’s ideas, if you come up against a team that plays, you risk. Handanovic saved the game in the phases in which Inter were suffering. But if you come back three away it’s because you are a great team. That’s why they are still the favourites for me.”

And on midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, he stated, “You have to pamper him, make him feel important, because he is someone with quality.”
