Former Udinese, Bologna, and Swansea City coach Francesco Guidolin believes that Inter are among four teams with a chance of winning the Scudetto this season.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the 66-year-old gave the view that there are four teams at the top of Serie A right now who have shown the necessary qualities to go all the way and win the league.

The Nerazzurri are one of three unbeaten teams in Serie A after seven matchdays, two points behind city rivals AC Milan and four behind perfect Napoli.

Meanwhile, Juventus experienced a poor start after having been tipped among the favourites at the beginning of the season, but the Bianconeri look to have put their early struggles behind them with three wins on the bounce.

The Nerazzurri may not be able to win the title as emphatically as last season when they finished twelve points clear of second-place Milan, but they could still have the necessary quality and winning mentality to come out on top in an evenly-balanced race against top rivals.

Guidolin named the Rossoneri as potential early favourites after their strong start, stating that “Milan is entertainment and efficiency and can count on Pioli who with his staff are always looking for something new.”

However, he also suggested that their major rivals can all compete as well, naming “Extraordinary Napoli, combative Inter, even Juve can come back. It won’t be easy with opponents like this.”
