Inter could look to terminate the contract of forward Alexis Sanchez, with the Chilean unhappy at the club.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that this option is becoming concrete as the player’s situation at the club sours.
Sanchez’s recent social media outburst following the 2-1 win over Sassuolo in which he was an unused substitute suggests that he is not happy with his playing time, and this is unlikely to change given that he sits behind the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko, as well as Joaquin Correa in the thinking of coach Simone Inzaghi.
A move away from the club in the January transfer window has been rumoured, with the player potentially seeking a new club where he could be a more central player.
However, there are also challenges associated with making such a switch, and should the situation remain as it is, the club and player could agree on the termination of his contract.
