Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi will be hoping that he can continue to rely on centre-forward Edin Dzeko during the Nerazzurri’s first match back from the international break, against Lazio in Serie A.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Bosnian could be the only senior attacking option available to the coach given the late arrivals of the squad members on international duty in South America.

Bosnia and Herzgovina have two World Cup qualifiers scheduled for the international break, against Kazakhstan and Ukraine on the ninth and twelfth respectively, and Inzaghi will be hoping that Dzeko does not pick up any injury problems in either of these matches.

Given that the South American players will only be back a little more than 24 hours before the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Lazio, there is a good chance that the coach will be without the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Joaquin Correa, and Alexis Sanchez in attack.

Inzaghi will want to have Dzeko back available to him in training as soon as possible so that he can make sure he will be able to rely on the Bosnian centre-forward as he already has this season.
