Inter remain interested in Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, but they would only move for him should he be out of contract and available as a free agent.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could look to move for the Serbian striker in the summer of 2023, but that they would face heavy competition for his signature.

Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso announced yesterday that La Viola were unable to reach an agreement with Vlahovic on a contract renewal, and it now appears virtually certain that he will leave his current club at or before the end of his current deal in the summer of 2023.

The 21-year-old is a target for Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City, while the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Paris Saint-Germain also cannot be ruled out as suitors, and Commisso will be hoping for an option for the young striker’s signature which could drive his price tag up as high as €75 million or higher.

The Nerazzurri are admirers of Vlahovic, but his signing could prove financially difficult, and it is likely that he would only be brought in in the event that he can be signed as a free agent.
