Inter are hoping to strike a deal for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca in the January transfer window if they can offload Alexis Sanchez first, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, all incoming at Inter this winter hinge on whether the club can find someone to take Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez off of the books.

The ex-Manchester United and Barcelona man appears to have burnt his bridges at the club after his outburst on social media following the lack of minutes he has received in recent games.

Due to his huge €7 million a season wages, Inter are very keen to sell him and reinvest some of that money in a younger striking option for Simone Inzaghi.

As a player that the Nerazzurri enquired about in the summer, Gianluca Scamacca represents a serious option in the January window if the space in the squad becomes available.
