A former Inter attacking midfielder has suggested that the Serie A title fight this season will be between the three teams who currently sit top of the table, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Whilst speaking on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Sandro Mazzola revealed that he thinks Inter, AC Milan, and Napoli will be the teams doing battle for the Scudetto.
He also explained that if the Nerazzurri do not come out victorious, he hopes that Napoli is the team to end their wait for a title.
“It will be between Napoli, Inter and AC Milan. If the Nerazzurri don’t win, I will cheer for the Neapolitans.”
Napoli has made a perfect start to the campaign this season, winning all seven of their opening games. The two Milan sides are both still unbeaten but do not have a perfect record to boast.
Inter have suffered two draws against Atalanta and Sampdoria but won their other five games. AC Milan drew against Juventus but have won every other fixture.
