Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti has heaped praise upon both of Inter’s Argentinian strikers during the international break, according to a report in the Chilean broadcast media.

Speaking on air to TNT Sports in Chile, the ex-Juventus player explained that Lautaro Martinez is improving every year whilst he is with Inter and he is also becoming more and more important to the national side as well.

“When we signed Lautaro, our thoughts were on the future: everything he is doing at Inter and Argentina was in our ideas and hopes.

“He improves every year, and I’m happy with this. He is a player with hunger and that is growing.”

A comment was also passed on Inter’ other Argentinian striker, Joaquin Correa, who joined the club in the summer from Lazio towards the end of the transfer market.

It is clear that Javier Zanetti is happy that Joaquin Correa is at the club and believes he can benefit the side going forward this season.

“I’ve known Tucu for a long time: there is a photo of when I was a boy and he was young that we did here at Inter; we renewed it.

“Inzaghi knows him well, he can give us a great hand, I’m happy that he is here, I know his talents and qualities well.”

Inter are hoping that the two strikers will return to Italy from the international break in South America in time for the away match to Lazio in Serie A straight afterwards.
