Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is ready to finally sign his new contract to become one of the most highly paid players at the club, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentinian forward will sign a deal that will keep him at the club for another five years, giving him complete stability to improve and achieve his goals with the Nerazzurri.

The contract that Lautaro Martinez was previously on saw him earn €2.5 million per season and also contained a release clause of €111 million.

That release clause has been gotten rid of so now the ceiling has been lifted on the amount of money that Inter could potentially earn if they ever sell the player.

His new salary will be more than double what he was previously earning and is expected to be the first in a series of contract renewals from Inter.
