The coach of the Croatia national team has praised Ivan Perisic for his Intr performances in the early part of the season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking during a press conference ahead of Croatia’s clash with Cyprus, as has been reported by FcINternews, Zlatko Dalic explained that he wants Ivan Perisic to bring his Inter form to the National team.

He also placed Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in his list of players that can progress the ball up the pitch for the team.

“We will try to enter the spaces and we will have three players who can carry key possession: Modrić, Kovačić and Brozović.

“I hope Perišić continues his great form from Inter, but in general all the players are in good shape, the whole team is ready for a good match.

“We will try to penetrate forward, especially on the flanks, on the left side where Perišić plays.”

Ivan Perisic has performed better at left wing back than many anticipated this season and has entered a rotation with Federico Dimarco.

He is out of contract in June 2022 though, meaning the club are deciding whether to offer him new deal despite his age and wage demands or find a younger replacement for the ex-Bayern Munich winger who has been at Inter for many years.
