A former Juventus midfielder has explained that losing Marcelo Brozovic would be a major blow for Inter if it were to happen, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW, Alessio Tacchinardi was discussing both Marcelo Brozovic at Inter and the similar situation that Franck Kessie is in at city rivals AC Milan.

Marcelo Brozovic and Franck Kessie will be out of contract with their clubs in June 2022 which means that two high-quality midfielders will be on the market for free.

Inter are hopeful that Marcelo Brozovic will sign a new contract in the very near future as he does want to stay at the club, but it is not as clear in the situation of Franck Kessie.

“They have different characteristics, they would be heavy losses for Milan and Inter. I don’t know how Barcelona can buy them, given the debts they have. Today it is not clear how Barcelona want to play. Maybe they need Kessie.”

Barcelona have been linked with the Ivorian midfielder a lot, but their financial situation may preclude them from doing a deal with the midfielder who would want a high salary.
