Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is one of the players who could win the Yachine Trophy which is a prestigious award for goalkeepers, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by FCInter1908, the Inter goalkeeper is one of 10 players who will anxiously wait to see if they will be crowned the best goalkeeper of the past year.
The trophy is widely viewed as the goalkeepers equivalent of the Golden Ball and is given out at the Ballon’DOr awards.
The other candidates for the award are Gianluigi Donnarumma, Ederson, Kasper Schmeichel, Edouard Mendy, Thibaut Courtois, Keylor Navas, Emiliano Martinez, Manuel Neuer, and Jan Oblak.
Inter are currently searching for a player who can replace Samir Handanovic as the number one goalkeeper at the club after a string of high profile mistakes have undermined his place in the team.
It seems Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana is the most likely replacement.
