Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is now a serious doubt for the Serie A clash with Lazio after the international break, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the muscle injury that kept the Argentine striker out of last night’s match against Paraguay could potentially be more serious than first feared.

If he does not play any part in his national team’s next two fixtures of the international break then it is hard to imagine he will be deemed fit enough to face Lazio.

This will be a major concern for Simone Inzaghi as Lautaro Martinez will be central to his plans to beat his former side in his first game against them since leaving the club.

The muscle strain is thought to be down to a lack of rest as he has taken part in all of his club and countries games this season.
