Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli has suggested that the Serie A title race will be incredibly tight this season as it is so balanced, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during a press conference after Italy’s defeat to Spain in the Nations League on Wednesday night, as has been reported by FcINternews, the midfielder praised both AC Milan and Napoli for their starts to the season.

“It’s a balanced championship, Napoli started very well but there is also Inter as champions and AC Milan who are doing very well.”

Napoli have won all seven of their Serie A fixtures so far this season meaning they are top of the league. AC Milan have won all but one of their matches, drawing against Juventus.

Inter are slightly behind them as they drew against Sampdoria and Atalanta, but they have won the other five fixtures.

Juventus have not had as good of a start as they suffered defeats to Empoli at home as well as against Napoli. They have picked up their form in recent weeks.
