Inter could look to sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic during the January transfer window should Alexis Sanchez leave the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Serb is one of the top targets for the Nerazzurri to strengthen their attack should Sanchez leave.

Inter have given indications that they will bring players in during the January window, and with Sanchez having recently made an outburst suggesting he is unhappy with his playing time at the club the Chilean could be on his way out as soon as January.

Should Sanchez leave, the club would immediately look to replace him, with Jovic being one of the key names of interest.

The Serbian striker is still out of favour in the Spanish capital, with Real manager Carlo Ancelotti having only handed him 84 minutes on the pitch so far this season, and he could be given a way out at Inter.

The Serbian earns a net of €5 million per season with the Merengues, less than Sanchez’s current wages, and the Nerazzurri could also seek a favourable loan formula without a purchase obligation given that the player is unsettled in Madrid and was loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt on a similar deal already.
