Chile coach Martin Lasarte believes that Inter forward Alexis Sanchez is fully fit and in form after his performance in the Roja’s 2-0 win over Paraguay.

Speaking after the match, as reported by FCInterNews, he suggested that the player showed that he is eager to play and is ready to prove himself and show that he is back to his best.

Sanchez returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury a few weeks ago, but he has not been a major figure in Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans.

The Chilean was an unused substitute in the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 win over Sassuolo before the international break, after which he made a post on social media in which he appeared to hit out at the club for his lack of playing time.

Lasarte believes that Sanchez showed his best against Paraguay, and made a statement that he can still contribute at a very high level.

“Alexis’ second half was extraordinary to me,” he stated, “he looked like Alexis at his best to me. Surely he is angry because he always wants more. Last week I heard people saying that he had no minutes in his legs and was not in top condition.”
