Croatian national team head coach Zlatko Dalic believes that his side’s next opponents Slovakia are formidable, singling out Inter defender Milan Skriniar as a key player.

Speaking ahead of the match, as reported by FCInterNews, the Crotian boss gave the view that the Nerazzurri man is a top player and will make Slovakia difficult opponents.

Nerazzurri man Skriniar could meet two of his club teammates in the form of Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic when the two national sides face off this evening, but they come into the match in different situations.

Slovakia are close to being out of the running for 2022 World Cup qualification, while Croatia look to be in a heated battle with Russia in the top two spots of the group.

However, Dalic still believes that the match against Slovakia will be a tough one, and he considers the defensive talents of Skriniar to be one of the major reasons why.

“In any case it will not be easy, we respect the national team that has Skriniar, Kucka, Hamsik completely,” he stated. “We have to look at ourselves and give our all.”
