Legendary former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi believes that Inter are the team with the most secure Scudetto credentials in this season’s Serie A title race.
Speaking at the Trento Festival of Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, the former coach suggested that the Nerazzurri’s best attribute could be a winning mentality that their rivals do not have.
Inter currently sit third in the table, with their unbeaten start still not enough to see them ahead of city rivals AC Milan or perfect starters Napoli.
Simone Inzaghi’s men will know that they are in a serious title race given the quality of the opposition, but they could still find ways to win.
The Nerazzurri have already been here, navigating a tough season last campaign to come out on top of Serie A, and Sacchi believes that this is something that the likes of the Partenopei and the Rossoneri have yet to show.
He stated, “In front are Napoli, but they will have to acquire a mentality that they did not always have in order to win. Inter gives me more certainty, Milan are the team that plays better and it’s almost a miracle – finally Pioli has given an identity to his teams, it didn’t happen before. Juve were the favourite before the season started and can still recover.”
