Torino captain Andrea Belotti could become a target for Inter in the January transfer window, with the player still out of contract in the summer and highly rated as a potential backup to Edin Dzeko.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 27-year-old could be brought in should Alexis Sanchez depart from the club.

Belotti’s current deal with the Granata is set to run out at the end of June 2022, and he is yet to agree on an extension with the club.

The striker could be available for a cut-price fee in January should his club wish to avoid losing him on a free transfer next summer, and he is seen as having the right profile to deputize for Dzeko in the current Nerazzurri squad.

This would become especially feasible should Sanchez depart from the club, with the potential savings on his wages making the arrival of a player like Belotti easier to accommodate.
