Inter’s Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal both played as Chile defeated Paraguay by a 2-0 scoreline in their World Cup qualifier yesterday.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report on the match and note that Sanchez notched an assist for the Roja’s second goal.

Chile have struggled in qualification so far, looking like they could have a tough time avoiding missing out on the second World Cup finals in a row.

However, yesterday’s victory over Paraguay brings them to ten points, third from bottom in their group, and gives them something to hold onto as they head into their last game of the international break.

Inter midfielder Vidal made his return from suspension and played the ninety minutes to help guide his team to the important victory, while forward Sanchez assisted Mauricio Isla’s striker to make it 2-0 during the second half.
