Inter striker Edin Dzeko is set to be a player who Inter coach Simone Inzaghi relies on when the Nerazzurri face Lazio in Serie A on Saturday, and he will meet a familiar rival.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight that the Bosnian will come up against an opponent who he has faced many times during the Derby Di Capitale.

Manager Inzaghi will meet the team he left in the summer in the form of Lazio, and will come up against new Biancocelesti boss Maurizio Sarri.

But for Dzeko it will be a different story, with the 35-year-old having played in numerous derby clashes with the Biancocelesti in his six years with their arch-rivals Roma.

The team colours are now different for the Bosnian, but the goal to score and win will be the same, and he will have some extra motivation to get the victory over Sarri’s men given his Giallorossi connections.
