Inter could have the chance to sign midfielder Franck Kessie from their city rivals AC Milan, with the player’s agent having probed the club’s interest in signing him next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are among the clubs spoken to about potentially signing the 24-year-old when he is out of contract next summer, but that his wages could be out of the price range looked for by the club.

Kessie’s current deal with the Rossoneri is set to run out at the end of June 2022, and for the moment he and the club are still a ways away from reaching an agreement on an extension.

Should he not renew with his current club then Kessie could leave next summer as a free agent with a number of clubs interest in him, but he could be on the move to city rivals Inter.

The midfielder’s agent George Atangana has spoken to the Nerazzurri about the possibility of a free transfer of the Ivorian next summer, but the high wage demands could be too much even without a transfer fee.
