Former Inter striker Nicola Ventola believes that current Nerazzurri midfielder Nicolo Barella is a top player and is gaining in quality and confidence.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, the 43-year-old heaped praise on Barella and also gave his thoughts on Inter-linked Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori.

Barella played in both games for the Italian national team in the Nations League after having been virtually undroppable for his club in the early part of the season, and his performances have continued to earn praise.

Ventola is in agreement with this prevalent view, stating that he thinks that the 24-year-old is even improving on his level.

“Barella is incredible, more and more confident,” the former striker said of the Nerazzurri and Italy midfielder.

Of current Neroverdi striker Raspadori, he also gave the view that the 21-year-old who is reported to be a major Nerazzurri target can become a complete all-around striker.

“I like Raspadori as a first striker,” he stated. “I would insist on him, he is also very good with his back to goal, to pick up the team.”
