Alexis Sanchez could leave Inter during the January transfer window, and should he depart the club then head coach Simone Inzaghi wants an experienced replacement who can fill in right away.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach is prioritizing a player who can make an immediate impact if the Chilean leaves.

Sanchez is not happy with his situation at the Nerazzurri, with the 32-year-old wanting more playing time having only received limited minutes since his return from injury.

The club would be ready to let him leave during the January transfer window should the right club be found, and would look to bring in a replacement immediately if he goes.

Inzaghi does not want a player who will need time to find his feet at the club, and the 45-year-old’s priority with a replacement would be that the player can immediately provide quality at attacking opposition backlines.
